- 1 cup Mung Beans

- 2 medium Tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 Green Chilli, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- 1/4 cup Fresh Coriander Leaves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Wash and soak mung beans for 2-3 hours.
- In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add cumin seeds.
- Once the cumin seeds start to splutter, add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli, sauté for 1 minute.
- Now add chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add soaked mung beans and mix well with the masala.
- Add 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the mung beans are cooked.
- Once the pressure is released, open the lid and add garam masala powder and fresh coriander leaves, Mix well.
- Serve hot with rice or roti.
